What Qualifies as a Sex Crime?

Under Florida law, there are literally dozens of statutes that can qualify as a sex crime. For example, there are misdemeanor indecent exposure charges. Most of them are felonies such as lewd and lascivious. There's lewd and lascivious molestation. There's lewd and lascivious battery. Then there's also sexual battery charges.

That is more commonly known as rape. A person can face anywhere from 15 years, all the way up to life in prison without the possibility of parole. There are many different levels of sex crimes.
