Do I Have a Choice of Breath or Blood Alcohol Tests? Which Should I Choose?
The breath test is part of the implied consent law, which means that you're required to give it and if you do not give it then a license suspension will be longer. A blood test on the other hand is not something that is required to do. A person can refuse to take a blood test. However, a blood test is not necessarily a bad idea if you feel that the breath test is inaccurate. It's often a good idea to take the blood test, whenever you feel the breath test is not representative of your possible intoxication.
